Atlanta group to help Georgians with disabilities with their taxes

From The AP:

ATLANTA -- An Atlanta group will use a $3,000 grant to help Georgians with disabilities file their taxes.

The Center for Financial Independence and Innovation is offering volunteer income tax assistance sites geared to the disabled in metro Atlanta, Augusta and Columbus during February and March. The service is free for individuals and families making less than $42,000 per year.

The organization is getting part of $25,000 made available by the National Disability Institute.

Georgia's effort is part of the institute's Real Economic Impact Tour, a series of tax preparation workshops expected to produce $150 million in refunds for people with disabilities across 84 cities this year.
